National Court Appointed Special Advocate Association

Our parent organization. A good resource for information on CASA programs throughout the country.

Maryland CASA

Provides technical support to local CASA programs in Maryland.

Howard County Department of Community Resources & Services (DCRS)

Provides residents with vital resources through the following offices: ADA Coordination, Aging and Independence, Children and Families, Community Partnerships, Consumer Protection, Disability Services HUman Trafficking Prevention, and Children’s Board.

Local Children’s Board

Composed of public and private members working collaboratively to ensure a strong continuum of services for families and children in our community. 

Annie E. Casey Foundation

Focuses on strengthening families, building stronger communities and ensuring access to opportunity. They seek to advance research and solutions to overcome the barriers to success, help communities demonstrate what works and influence decision makers to invest in strategies based on solid evidence.

Association of Community Services (ACS)

Ensures nonprofit organizations have access to the information and knowledge needed to deliver services to residents.

Luminus Network Inc

Provides services to immigrants including immigration counseling, language interpreting and translations, information and referral assistance including food and housing assistance, job counseling and crisis assistance.

HopeWorks

Provides comprehensive intervention services for people impacted by sexual and intimate partner violence including 24 hour helpline, emergency and transitional shelter, counseling, and legal assistance. 

Grassroots

Provides 24 hour crisis services, mobile crisis team, emergency shelter and support for homeless households, suicide prevention training and mental health first aid.

Bridges to Housing Stability

Provides case management to help homeless and near-homeless families attain and maintain housing stability. Provides affordable housing program for low-wage workers.

Howard County Public Schools

Public education services for pre-k through 12th grade comprised of 77 schools - 42 elementary, 20 middle, 12 high, and 3 education centers. 

Howard County Autism Society

Serves individuals with Autism, their families and communities by providing information, support and advocacy, while working to improve the quality of and access to services and opportunities through the lifespan.

Howard County Department of Social Services (DSS)

Provides a network of services to promote family stability, employment and self-sufficiency, and a safe environment for children and vulnerable adults. Includes departments of Family Preservation, Child Protective Services, and Foster Care.

Howard County Department of Juvenile Services (DJS)

Manages, supervises and treats youth who are involved in the juvenile justice system in Howard County. DJS is involved in nearly every stage of the juvenile justice process from the moment a youth is brought into a juvenile intake center by the police or as a result of a citizen complaint to the time when a youth returns to the community after completing treatment.
